How wait times are calculated

A snapshot of live wait times is taken from airport sources
An average of the wait times observed within each 15 minute interval is saved, every day
This historical data is shaped into wait time distributions, to help you plan security wait time for your flight
The site will improve over time as more historical data is collected; most airports do not share live security wait times, unfortuantely, so the list of supported airports is limited

Checking this box means data for all weekdays (or weekend days) are combined when showing wait times.
For example, if you select Tuesday at 3:15pm, all 3:15pm data for Mondays through Fridays will be included.
This is selected by default for now, as we don't have much daily data yet; in a few months we will have enough data to turn this OFF by default.
In the meantime, I recommend checking waiting times with and witout this box checked, as Tuesdays might look very different than Fridays, for example.
